Most Quartz may  “stains” are discolorations but they are low-maintenance  or no maintenance and very easy to clean.

Any time a liquid is allowed to sit on granite countertop surface, you run the risk of staining If the granite is not sealer. 

Leaving a hot pot on the counter for a short period may not cause visible damage but it is still a good idea to use hot pads to maintain the shine. Even though a manufacturer may claim a countertop is totally heatproof, this is often untrue.

some supplipers may offer warranty. Your countertop will be able to take a hot pot or pan on them occasionally for a short period.
